Verification

Profiles begin unclaimed and are labeled that way. When a firm claims its profile, we confirm the bar license by email before anything the firm supplies is published, check that the claimant’s email domain matches the firm, and record the date the check was performed. Verification is a factual check — it cannot be bought, and paying for a profile level does not change it.

Profile levels and advertising

Three levels: Basic (free — firm name, location, procedure, focus, courts), Enhanced (adds bios, full practice description, direct contact, and a highlighted card), and Featured (the one labeled paid position at the top of a county page and every town page in that county, shown first in quiz results).

• The Featured Position is a paid placement available only to firms that satisfy published eligibility and verification requirements — a Google rating of 4.0 stars or higher and at least two years in practice.
• Featured and Enhanced are paid profiles and are listed first. Within each group, firms are ordered by Google rating, then review count. Payment never changes a firm’s rating or verification record.
• Every county page carries one Featured Position. If a county’s position is taken, other firms can join a waitlist for it.
• The quiz produces results only: it filters the directory and shows best-fit firms, Featured first and clearly labeled. You choose who to contact. We send your details only to the firms you select, and only when you ask us to. We do not recommend a firm, receive no part of any legal fee, and give no legal advice.

Court information

Courthouse names, addresses, phone numbers, and hours are verified against the official judicial-branch source for each state — in Connecticut, the Judicial Branch’s own directions pages and its official town-by-town venue table for land matters, which govern where a foreclosure is heard. Each court entry links to the official page it was checked against.

Timeline data

Foreclosure timeline figures are drawn from the ATTOM U.S. Foreclosure Market Report and cited wherever they appear. They are averages, published for informational purposes only — they are not an indication of how long any individual foreclosure will take. Many factors change the timing of an individual foreclosure.

Corrections

If anything on a profile or a county page is wrong, use the contact form and say what should change. Firms can correct their own information at any time by claiming the profile — claiming is free.
